Hi, I have a deadline tomorrow and I messed up my sleep schedule. I woke up at 12:00 p.m. and took two 10 mg Ritalin tablets to wake myself up, but I kept sleeping. Later, when I actually got up, I took one 30 mg Medikinet tablet, followed by a 20 mg one. I still couldn’t get anything done, so in total I took 130 mg of Ritalin within 15 hours. What worries me is that I feel completely fine, except for a rumbling stomach. Usually, when I take this much Ritalin, I feel like I’ve had 20 cups of coffee, and afterward I feel terrible—almost like I’m on chemotherapy. This time, I feel nothing, and I’m freaking out that I might have damaged my receptors or something. I’ve been taking this medication since I was 17 and have never experienced this level of unresponsiveness to it. I usually take it for two months and then take a four-month break. It has been three weeks since I started using it again. Maybe it’s because I took it at longer intervals over several hours? I have no chest discomfort, and my blood pressure and pulse are completely normal. Am I overreacting? What should I expect tomorrow? I’m a 29-year-old male and weigh 98 kg
