I struggle with pretty bad insomnia, and I know that a bulk of it has to do with my brain going crazy right before I go to bed. I think about literally everything. Embarrassing moments from the day, if I ate too many calories, that one awkward convo I had with my boss, etc. I assume most of you relate to this. To get rid of all of that noise, I recently have tried brain dumps every night. For those who are unfamiliar, it's basically when you write out everything on your mind. Instead of thinking about all of that while your in bed, write it out. There is a lot of scientific evidence to suggest that this is a very effective way to calm your anxiety. I am still new to this, so if you want to hear more about brain dumping you should probably check out the article. But I will say that this has been such an effective method thus far. Prob on night 12 of doing it. If anyone tries out brain dumping and finds success, please let me know! I want to learn more about this process.
