1 week on Tretinoin
Post Content
Tonight is actually day 8. I started last week Tuesday February 3rd 2026. I have used 0.025% daily with the occasional clindamycin and I used benzoyl peroxide one morning like my doctor said to and quickly said F that. I can’t do both right now. My face hurts in some spots but it’s peeling and attempting to clear up but acne is still being acne. I broke out in a hopefully unrelated stress rash on my neck. I’m assuming it’s work stress, allergy shots, and my dying relationship. I also think my mother and brother getting sick is also straining my immune system so that may be a factor and I may be getting sick soon too. But regardless I have been living on LRP Cicaplast Gel but it and everything else burns even my normal face moisturizer burns. I am debating grabbing a new jar of Vaseline because I can’t find mine. I am following doctors orders of doing it daily at night. I know most start going every other day or so when they start but I am a bit annoyed by my doctor not giving me Accutane like I asked but giving my friend meds he asked for no questions asked. I gotta prove I followed it how she wanted. It’s not the worst experience I’ve ever had but going through it while also stressed from life and working outside in construction is rough. Any suggestions for soothing products? The only thing that hasn’t burned yet is the pout preserve lip balm. I want to find my Vaseline but have you known any bad reactions to using Vaseline on your face during Tretinoin?
