I'd love if I could ask some genuine questions to better understand the community

I come from a conservative Christian family. But I have genuine questions on this community that when asked to from people in my life it's taken as disrespect, that is not what I wish. I'd just really love to be educated and learn to better understand. Here are some of the general questions I've had and I mean no disrespect. *What are the thoughts and feelings one would have as a assigned woman/man to feel/think you're actually meant to be the opposite? *Why can't one live and present however they want without seemingly looking like trying to completely merge into the assigned male/female group? *Why is there a T in the LGB if that is for sexual orientation and the other is just about identity?
