Heterogeneous region of placenta- what does this mean?

Post Content

Hello! Im (38yo female). history of 24 week loss due to chronuc abruption due to infection. I also have a cerclage in place. Pregnant again and Today at my 14 week appointment they noted I had a area of my placenta that was worrisome because it apoears heterogeneous. Its measured about 4x 2 x 1 cm. Has anyone ever heard of anything like this? I thought at first it was an SCH when the US tech was scanning but the MFM called it a "heterogeneous region of my placenta". Google has me terrified. I have tons of photos if that helps. Thank you!
