Semi-good news, kinda.

Post Content

My last A1C, about a year ago, was a 5.8. On the edge. I watch my diet, almost no sweets, exercising, trying to keep on the righteous path. But about a month ago, we had a pretty big family tragedy, and it’s been hard. A lot of stress,a lot of angst, a lot of worries. Diet didn’t go to hell, but my sleep has suffered, and my alcohol consumption (mostly red wine) is up a little. I’ve read that stress and anxiety can affect blood glucose. So, yesterday, I had my annual physical with blood tests, A1C was . . . 5.9. I’m claiming that as a W. My doctor was relatively calm, and wants to redo the test in six months when hopefully the crisis will be resolved. So don’t panic.
