Proctitis question

I’m a 37 male 5’5 currently on mesalamine 1000 mg suppository. I got diagnosed with proctitis a few weeks ago. On mesalamine and the blood stopped which is good . But some days I feel worse then better brain fog stomach pain etc. should I tough it out for a month with the mesalamine or will the blood return if I stop to soon?
