New Year and my insurance no longer covers Zepbound

Post Content

I am a disabled retired federal employee on Kaiser insurance (Wa state Core high option) and up until this year I was able to get zepbound for $60 a month. So of course this year they decided to not cover the medication at $60 but roughly $600. I am on a fixed income so spending that kind of money is just not feasible. It’s so frustrating because the meds were working to quiet down the food noise and curb my appetite appropriately, I’ve had issues with food my entire life and I finally felt in control. I don’t qualify for Bariatric surgery because I have corresponding health issues which make me a non candidate. I get the meds are expensive but apparently they would rather pay for the related health issues instead of helping me with my medical problem.
