Does anxiety make it harder to handle difficult life situations?

Post Content

TW: mentions heart attack My anxiety has been horrible again lately after being manageable. I work 2nd shift at a new job which is hard as a single mom with 2 kids and no help with the baby so adjusting has been hard. It's a very physical job too. We had COVID the week I started so working was rough. I do have some drinks after they go to bed so I can try and sleep or relax. I thought things were getting better until this week. My dad had a heart attack Friday. My sister father who is also close is in the hospital with liver failure (severe alcoholic for decades) and then I got a stomach bug that I've been fighting all while trying not to miss work. I am 7 months PP so maybe part of it has to do with that but my therapist left and I'm back on a wait list. I am not on meds. Lately I have been having severe vertigo, light headed, brain fog, muscle weakness, blurry vision, headaches and stomach pains. My heart feels off and I'm wondering if this is common? Every day I feel like I'm a second away from dropping and I'm so exhausted with it. My Dr said my heart is good and it was checked twice. Does anxiety make life situations this much harder to manage?
