How am I supposed to tell a gyno “I want to see a specialist instead”

Post Content

This is so confusing to me. So I have to see a gynecologist so I can start my journey to see what’s wrong with me and possibly endo. But the one I’m seeing says he has treated endo, but I’m sure he isn’t a specialist and he does the burning off technique instead of cutting to the root of endo. I want to see if my experience and symptoms is correlated to endo before I reach out to a specialist though. Or see if he thinks it could be something else even. It feels a bit rude to be like “I want to have the surgery with a endo specialist” but also If he declines investigating with me for endo because I decline surgery with him, he can really put a long pause on finding answers right?
