Hormones question
Post Content
Hi all! I’m 52 and have been without a period for about 6 months now. I saw a NP at my obgyn office this time last year for hot flashes, sleep difficulties, and she put me on BiEst 5mg/Testosterone 5mg cream to use daily from a compounding pharmacy along with 50mg micronized progesterone daily at bedtime. The hot flashes and sleep improved a lot. She then put me on an estrogen vaginal cream (.01%) twice a week for vaginal dryness. Is 50mg progesterone too little? Would an estrogen patch potentially work better? Do you all find that the dosage needs to be increased after awhile? I feel like the hot flashes have increased and sleep has deteriorated again.
