Shedding on spironolactone

Have been on spironolactone for coming to 3 months and my hair looks overall worse from a shed that started a few weeks in.. am also not seeing any much regrowth at this point. What is the timeline if spironolactone did improve your hair thinning? Unsure if it’s working because I recall on topical minoxidil - at the peak of the dread shed about 1-2 months in, I was already seeing alot of regrowth so i was ok to push through but unfortunately had to stop due to side effects.
