My mom has been buying weird medicine.

My mom, 55, female, about 140lbs, has been buying weird medicine that wasn’t prescribed. She has bought “turmeric capsules with bioperine”, “alkaline capsules”, and “chaga mushroom capsules” which apparently is anti aging, immune boosting, detoxifying and fights inflammation. What’s weird besides it not being prescribed, is that all of them contained the text “No approved therapeutic claims”. I have looked up that it means that it basically has no effect on your health, but i wanted a second opinion since I don’t want my mom spending her money on bs like this. Thank you so much.
